Before Making Lifestyle Changes
The human body is a complex system. That is why it is so hard for experts to give anything other than broad advice to the general population. In the case of this blog, we have learned what works for us. When it comes to health we are not experts on you. Because we make no claims to be, we want to make sure you seek proper advice at the correct time.
Our Disclaimer
We are not qualified medical professionals. If you are making changes to diet, nutrition, exercise, or any other health-related topic it is always a good idea to run it by a qualified medical professional before you do.
We, for many reasons, legal and personal, we do not claim to be health care professionals such as doctors, nutritionists, dieticians, personal trainers, etc. We also don’t claim any certifications or degrees. Last, we are not affiliated with any medical groups or associations or make any claim we are.
Why the disclaimer?
Your body is a complex system. When we make changes to a complex system there can be unexpected side effects. Some of the side effects may not be known for years. Your body also can have hidden problem areas. When you make a change, it may trigger something hidden. Because of this, there are legitimate professionals you should seek the guidance of other than us to make sure you are not putting yourself at risk.
Scary?
Not really. Throughout our journey, we consistently had yearly medical checkups, consulted with professionals, and did our research. Think of those people as consultants to bounce ideas off. The point of this blog is not to circumvent them. This blog will have sections that help inform conversations with them in new ways.
